A budget friendly guide to decorating your engagement party.

Hello Blondies!

This post is just for all of you newly engaged folks out there. I know how you feel, the butterflies are still in your stomach and your blood is flowing with love and happiness and other great feelings!

This is a really exciting time in your life but now it’s start to plan. At least to plan celebrating you two as a couple. You may not even have a date set and may be waiting to get married for years down the road but give your family and friends a reason to party and celebrate your decision to commit to one another.

My engagement party was held in my future in laws back yard and it was the most fun I’ve had in years. Better yet, all our decorations were DIY so it saved us a TON of money.

The best way to throw a party is to make it open bar.

Here’s your open bar! May I introduce, The Beerbarrow. Everyone loved this.

We hung ours on twinkle lights on a tree in the backyard.

Next, centerpieces and other decorations:

We turned the backyard hammock into the gifts and cards table.

And what kind of party is it if you don’t have any games?

Don’t have a cake in the budget or want to save a traditional cake for the wedding? Make a donut cake or just have cookies! I did both.

I had a lot of fun creating all of these personalized touches. For instructions on how to create the ring toss visit my page on DIY Ringtoss.

Till next time blondies!
